It is located in New York, NY. Global Investment Bank located in New York has an immediate opportunity for a Trading Systems Support Technical Analyst

Supporting global multi-tier distributed system for trading and risk management of Credit Derivatives. The system is a C#/XP front-end with Java server side components running on Linux, making heavy use of Sybase databases, MQ and pub/sub technologies.

Responsibilities will include

• analysis & resolution of front - to - back trade flow problems as well as server load management,
• nightly batch stream stability and the resolving of a variety of system problems in a timely manner as they arise.
• The role has considerable user contact, and the successful candidate will be involved in supporting end users in their daily use of both systems.
• He or she will be responsible for resolving users' issues, answering questions and escalating to the development or management teams as necessary.
• The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an interest in learning about the business areas supported.
• They will be expected to acquire business knowledge through a combination of formal training and exposure to end users.
  
  Skills Required:
  Knowledge of Linux, XML, Perl, and Sybase required. Proven ability to interpret error output from a variety of sources in order to resolve business and technical problems. Proven ability to deliver improvements to supported systems.
  
  Skills Desired:
  Desirable although not mandatory: Knowledge of Credit Derivative products. Knowledge of Autosys or other job scheduling software.
