It is located in Brooklyn, NY. Global Investment Bank located in Brooklyn has an immediate opportunity for a BCP / Application Testing Consultant

The BCP / Tertiary data Center Team is searching for a BCP / Application Testing consultant. This person will report to the application and integration-testing leader and be responsible for the following day-to-day activities:

• Requirement gathering for distributed applications for the build and implementation of a Tertiary Data Center
• Liaison with Application development teams and Operations / Business Units to build, implement and tests required applications
• Document Application and Infrastructure solutions
• Progress tracking and follow-ups
• Work with the relevant groups to produce Disaster recovery run books
• Work closely with other IT BCP staff supporting BCP tests • Assist with development and maintenance of Tertiary Datacenter Technical recovery plans
  
  Skills Required:
  The ideal applicant would have the following:
• Strong communications and presentation skills (written and oral)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application testing and/or application BCP recovery 
• Sound knowledge of distributed application infrastructure ( Windows/UNIX/LINUX application environments, database technologies, storage technologies, IP networking etc.)
• MS-Office including MS-project and MS-PowerPoint
• Financial Industry experience
• Self-motivator and a strong problem solver
  
  Skills Desired:
• Knowledge of Mainframe application and processing
• Technical knowledge and experience across a wide range of IT disciplines.
• Knowledge of Business Continuity Technology solutions.
• Prior experience working with peers within a global organization
• Knowledge of Brokerage Business and IT structure would be preferable.
