James Weddle, the low-key boss at St. Louis-based Edward Jones, takes a low-key, old-fashioned approach to serving its clients. Edward Jones, the last major private limited partnership brokerage firm in the U.S., shuns options, commodities and interest-rate futures. "Those are more like wagers than investments," Weddle says.
