Global Investment Bank located in mid-town Manhattan has an immediate opportunity for a DTS RISK Program Manager.
This position will support the Data and Testing Services (DTS) Project Management Office in ensuring compliance with the firms various Risk related initiatives (eg. Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404 requirements). The applicant will coordinate the DTS efforts for both vendor and in house applications spanning Database (ADABAS, DB2), Development and Change Management Tools, Testing Environment Tools, ETL Tools etc.
Role and Responsibilities - Partner with TAPSco Risk Officer in enhancing and executing the Risk officer agenda, which includes response to regulatory (SOX, BASEL), firm initiated (Risk Management Procedure), or TAPSco specific (Risk Register) initiatives; - Work with TAPSco Risk Officer and Area Manager in coordinating associated Risk projects within the DTS organization: Disseminating information, and providing status & feedback regarding ongoing initiatives; -Maintain relationships between DTS sub groups and Internal Audit and Central Core Teams - Coordinate Internal and External Audit related activities -Assist members of DTS in understanding and applying the global Brokerage SOX Control methodology to new and existing products -Coordinate and track progress towards SOX assessment and remediation goals -Document and present status internally to DTS management and externally to Internal and External Audit -Ensure quality and consistency in application of SOX controls - Prepare DTS for firm wide SOX requirements such as Quarterly Certification and Entitlement Reviews - Enhance and maintain DTS procedures and control documentation - Provide training to new team members on Audit related activities and procedures - Coordination of non-SOX regulatory requirements and audits - Minimum 8 years experience in an IT environment
Skills Required:
- Technology/SOX project management including relationship management - Familiarity with operational risk concepts, regulatory environment - Excellent written and verbal communication - Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships - Self-starter, proactive and capable to work independently with limited oversight - Ability and motivation to continuously learn - Strong PC Skills (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)- Basic Web skills (maintain HTML web pages) - Organizational skills and teamwork - Ability to be both detailed oriented and strategic. - Ability to understand a variety of technologies
Skills Desired:
- Internal Auditing experience - Experience in Training.
