The role is a Business Analyst within the Derivatives Change Program on trade capture initiatives for the OTC Middle Office Enhancements team. The role is both challenging and dynamic - the analyst must be capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple streams of work. The candidate must be an experienced business analyst with strong Credit & Interest Rate Derivatives knowledge Whilst the role is focused on delivering benefits for the Middle Office department, it will involve dealing with people from the following additional groups - Front Office, Derivatives IT, Product Control, Front Office Support Group, Documentation and Settlements. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the Middle Office and Derivatives IT to perform the following tasks: · Gather and document business requirements, analyzing current versus future process flows · Produce business use cases to encourage end user feedback and facilitate signoff of business requirements · Identify any current processing issues that may affect the planned implementation or scenarios where exception processing is required · Produce high quality functional specifications of the proposed solution · Manage project phases independently – for example; requirements analysis, testing, post-implementation support and roll-out to additional regions · Define and document procedures & training, in conjunction with the line managers to support and control the new business processes and applications

Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years work experience in a top tier financial services firm

· Strong understanding of OTC derivative products, particularly Credit & Interest Rate Derivatives · In-depth knowledge of the Middle Office and front-to-back trade capture process · Experience of requirements gathering and documentation, for example; business use cases and functional specifications · A strong understanding of the front to back business process for derivatives and how this is evolving over time with technological changes · Track record of taking ownership of tasks and issues and seeing them through to completion within allotted timeframes · Strong analytical and organisational skills · Ability to work with the business to agree priorities, scope & timeframes of projects · Effective communication skills - both written & verbal, strong interpersonal skills · The ability to manage and influence change · Individual must be a fast learner who is capable of learning on the job and someone who is willing to take on a challenge
