Employers impose limits on company stock in 401(k) plans

The practice of investing in company stock as part of an employee retirement plan is falling out of favor, with many companies setting limits on how much company stock an employee can own. "We're now telling companies they need to understand that company stock in the 401(k) plan is just a lawsuit waiting to happen," one retirement consultant says.
