Communication Really is the Key

By 2020, IT funds that are currently earmarked for infrastructure and financial management will be spent on communication and collaboration technologies, according to our research. Even so, wikis and blogs aren't receiving the best press today. With its BizWiki, Iowa-based CustomerVision is banking on the continued popularity of such tools — even in the enterprise. And if you're still not convinced of the importance of communication, consider the video-based approach to knowledge management employed at a New Jersey military base. Watching someone recount personal experience is more engaging than reading a report, after all.
