Managing Telecommunications Costs
An Aberdeen Group report says up to 85 percent of a typical company's telecom bills are paid in full, no questions asked. This practice, of course, results in unnecessarily high costs. Several different methods, or a combination thereof, can be used to combat those costs, according to our research. One company uses a third-party telecom expense manager, with which it saved more than 10 percent annually. Another such manager recommends cutting equipment and services back to bare necessities. In addition, conducting a service inventory will help reveal inaccuracies in the bills and manage moves and/or changes in gear and services.
