SR. WEB DESIGNER
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Design, Develop, and Maintain new a corporate web site for developers both internal and external to the company.
Create tools, APIs, applications, etc... to promote and facilitate developer interest.
Integration of existing infrastructure with new site in the creation of APIs, and various other features.
Provide structured time lines and meet projected deadlines
Generate new and innovative ideas in design and user interface of web site
Accurate documentation and content management
Staying abreast of shifts in industry standards and on line customer expectations through research and trade publications

REQUIRED
Bachelors in a design discipline, Technical Writing, Human Factors, Library Science, or an equivalent field.
Must be a senior web designer with 5-8 years of experience.
Knowledge and experience working with Linux, Solaris, Oracle, MySQL.
Prior experience working in a team of software developers in the analysis and design of APIs, and various other tools
Partner with system engineers and testing engineers to provide post development system integrations and configurations.
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, UDP and networking essentials.
Proven ability to design methodologies for gathering user data, interpreting the results
Superior language skills, both written and verbal.
Thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing, quick-turn-around environment.
Will be requested to bring a portfolio of prior work.
L.A.M.P. Developers preferred
Languages – Perl, Python, or PHP

DESIRED
Deep understanding of usability and industry best practices, specifically as they relate to open source design.
Be up to date on best practices in web interface design.
Familiarity on various web servers, (i.e. Jboss, Tom Cat, Apache, etc... )
Collaborative working style, respectful of other perspectives and ego-less where necessary. Focused on getting the best solution rather than your solution.
The ability to learn from mistakes and willingness to revisit past solutions for further improvements
A portfolio that demonstrates the depth and breadth of your experience
