Merrill-Morgan Stanley feud is nothing new
MarketWatch's Jed Horowitz writes Merrill Lynch has often taken legal action preventing former brokers from taking clients with them, a similar move to the legal action it is seeking against Morgan Stanley, reported in yesterday's SmartBrief. Horowitz notes financial services firms are all engaged in intense competition to gain access to high-income clients.
