Product Marketing - Credit Derivatives
Location: New York NY
Salary: $80,000-$110,000 Salary
Responsibilities:
Our Client offers a uniquely flexible post-trade messaging and workflow
system for the global credit derivatives market. The role of Marketer
requires an individual with a thorough understanding of OTC derivatives
processing and excellent customer facing skills. This is a great
opportunity for someone who has a solid grounding in a financial
services, ideally 3-5 years working within a financial services
institution where exposure to the OTC derivatives process has been
gained, complete with strong product knowledge and an insight into where
improvements can be made.
The ideal candidate will be bright, enthusiastic and able to speak
fluently about the OTC markets, particularly Credit Derivatives. The
role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster
and develop strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
Building and developing relationships with clients and developing a
thorough understanding of their needs and preferences
Preparing and hosting presentations to educate and inform customers
Establishing yourself as a credible point of contact for your customer
base through your market / product knowledge and ability to articulate
new products clearly and understand your customer`s requirements
Increasing our Client`s market reach through researching and organising
involvement in industry-wide events
Maximising our Client`s exposure also through other means, such as
advertising, website and marketing literature
Identifying new business opportunities and ideas for promoting wherever
possible
Working closely with the Account Management, Integration and Technology
teams sharing information and ideas
Performing analysis of each Client to be carried out on a monthly basis
Providing a link and passing on key information and feedback to improve
business and client relationships
Skills and Experience
Significant exposure to working within OTC derivatives processing,
particularly Operations - with a thorough understanding of the trade
flow process
A minimum of 3 years experience working with Credit Derivatives with a
strong product knowledge and a thorough understanding of how the OTC
derivatives trading market works. Proven track record of establishing and developing effective client relationships. 5-7 years total experience working within the Banking and Finance
sector.

Responsibilities:

system for the global credit derivatives market. This platform enables
communication and electronic affirmation of credit derivative trades on
trade date, greatly reducing operational and settlement risks. A truly
open communications platform, that connects market participants
including major credit derivatives dealers, hedge funds, asset managers,
prime brokers, fund administrators and documentation execution
providers.
In line with rapid company expansion, our client is looking for a
Product Analyst to join the New York technology team. The role requires
in-depth analysis skills, in-depth technical and business / product
understanding and strong communication skills - particularly the ability
to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Furthermore, the role requires a positive and proactive approach.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with approximately 3 years
Financial Markets experience where a thorough understanding of OTC
derivatives (Credit and Interest Rate) processing has been acquired. The
ideal candidate may have spent time as a Business Analyst working for an
Investment Bank, perhaps on an in-house or off-the shelf settlements
system, or alternatively working for a Vendor focussing on the Credit
Derivatives module of a trading and settlement system.

Responsibilities
The Product Analyst will have overall responsibility for ensuring the
successful development of the post-trade processing market. This
includes:
Working with desk heads and management to understand company strategy
Conducting in-depth analysis of business requirements to understand
client requirements, assess the feasibility of these requirements
through thorough investigation and liaison with relevant internal teams
Producing detailed functional and technical specifications and working
closely with the technology team through the development cycle
Understanding the representation of data and providing data reporting as
required
Managing Issue and Item tracking in the appropriate system to ensure
complete transparency of the status and progress being made
Maintaining reports of Issue and Item Tracking for discussion at
management meetings
Performing acceptance testing for all new functionality
Creating release notes to ensure that account managers can effectively
communicate all functionality enhancements to clients
Creating marketing materials to promote the This platform including
PowerPoint presentations and product descriptions
Developing and maintaining a user guide
Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years experience working in a related role; Product Analysis,
Business Analysis or similar
2-3 years experience working with Credit Derivatives
2-3 years experience working in trade processing / settlements where a
thorough understanding of process flow has been acquired
Strong analysis skills with a proven track record in producing detailed
functional and technical specifications
Experience with data modelling / reporting and knowledge of SQL highly
desirable
Industry Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years Financial Markets experience ideally working for a large
Investment Bank or with a Vendor
Whilst no specific qualifications are stipulated for this position it is
expected that the ideal candidate will be able to support their
practical experience with a strong academic background

Can manage and prioritise a pressing workload whilst meeting both
company and customer expectations
Is comfortable setting customer expectations regarding resolutions to
issues or queries that are not immediately solvable
