Microsoft to Invest $1.7 Billion in India

Network World: Microsoft Chairman and Chief Architect Bill Gates had some good news for India recently as he announced plans for $1.7 billion in investments there over the next four years. Gates has earmarked those funds for Microsoft's development operations in India, along with any other strategic areas that need a financial boost. Even better news for India is that Microsoft is not alone in its impressive Indian investment plans. Both Intel and Cisco have also announced investments of more than $1 billion.
